Aside from the Nanaimo City, there are also other major centers within the primary landing area which are the cities of Duncan, Parksville, Port Alberni and towns of Tofino, Ucluelet, Qualicum, and Ladysmith. Three districts are laying close to Nanaimo as well – Nanaimo Reg. The district, Cowichan Valley Reg. The district and the Alberni-Clayoquot Reg. District. If you are looking for the hospital around Nanaimo, there are several such as Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, Ladysmith General Hospital, and Hospital West Coast General (Port Alberni). For those who are looking for universities in Nanaimo, you could try out VIU – Vancouver Island University or North Island College. There are also a lot of business industries in the city open to serve people at most convenient hours.

Security

As per required by the federal law, luggage and bags shall be searched accordingly for safety purposes at the security entrance of the boarding lounge. There are item restrictions that one should know before entering the lounge to save self from extra hassle in the airport.  Forbidden items may include sharp items, such as scissors, pocket knives, and metal nail files – these elements should not be packed in carry-on baggage.

If one is concerned whether or not the flight will be canceled due to disturbances in weather, one should call airline personnel right away to confirm the flight schedule or if there will be a rescheduling of the flights.
